If you enjoyed this drawing, I have several other Star Wars drawings in my DA gallery (and a few at my graphic design site); here is the link to my dA Star Wars gallery:

Information about this drawing:
Tools/features used within Illustrator:
Pen tool; gradient mesh; regular gradient; pathfinder (divide); transparency panel; brush (for fur); and the SVG blur filter (on a couple of places on Han Solo's face).
We need more old school Star Wars on Deviant Art!
I would like to see more original trilogy art: A New Hope
; Empire Strikes Back
; and Return of the Jedi
That I drew Han Solo (actor Harrison Ford) is kind of noteworthy in my case because I rarely draw men.
I thought Chewbacca's fur would be tedious to draw, but it wasn't that bad.
The most boring thing to draw was the Falcon (in the background; I overlaid a dark, transparent box to downplay it because I felt it distracted too much from the foreground figures otherwise).
The most difficult thing to draw from a technical stand point was the front of Han Solo's white shirt. It was hard drawing the seam at the top and the folds and wrinkles.
I couldn't find the exact copy I used, but here's a similar one:Reference Photo
