----------------Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman information:
Media = Illustrator.
Tools used = pen tool; gradient mesh; pathfinder (divide); transparency panel.
Additional tools/features used within Illustrator:
I used some of Illustrator's blur filters in a few places, mainly blotches on the face and neck area, and on some of the jewelry.
The vast majority of the piece was created with the standard vector tools, however (such as the pen tool and gradient mesh, or regular gradients).
I try not to use the pixel-based type manipulation filters or features in Illustrator too much on any drawing I make in Illustrator.
One reason I resort to them at all is that getting isolated shapes to appear soft and fuzzy on top of gradient mesh areas (using blends, for example) doesn't work as well.
Blends that sit on top of gradient mesh areas stand out quite starkly, and even lowering their opacity in the transparency panel does not always work.
I used one of the patterns that ships with Illustrator inside the headband to add some texture.Reference Photo
I created a variation of this drawing
of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman so that it would look like it was printed in a comic book.
"Live Trace" was Not used in or on any part of the drawing
