Description
Subject: Marilyn Monroe
Media: Verithin color pencil in black
If you enjoyed this drawing, I have several other Marilyn Monroe drawings in my DA gallery (and a few at my graphic design site); here is the link to my dA Marilyn Monroe gallery: Some of my other Marilyn Monroe art (some in digital media, some in traditional media):
Marilyn Monroe as Lorelei Lee from the 1953 movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
(Jane Russell was also fantastic in this film!)
This portrait was drawn using a Verithin brand color pencil (using only the black one).
Edit: this entire image was drawn by hand by me.
However, because the digital photo I took of the drawing was rather dark with washed-out mid tones (due to the quality of the photo; the drawing itself has acceptable value variation), I did use Photoshop on the photo of the pencil drawing to remove some smudges and such that were on it, especially on the upper left area by her head, and I used Levels to lighten it.
This drawing is several years old. I don't do much traditional art anymore. Most of my art these days is made on the computer.
Please do not use this drawing without my permission.
